We are a venue for coming to terms with grief, relief and the many other emotions that mark us during the final transition
Patients that live in a nursing facility or other long term care facilities can also receive specialized visits from physicians, nurses, and social workers alongside any other care and services provided by the facility. Hospice care is fully covered by most major insurance companies. It is provided both by Medicare nationwide and by Medicaid in most states. Most private health insurance policies also cover hospice care. To be sure of coverage, families should check with their health insurance provider. Our highly-trained and highly compassionate team is comprised of experts in palliative care from across the world. We speak several languages, are culturally aware and sensitive to the needs and nuances of many of our foreign-born guests. Our care is loving and highly inclusive.
We provide many different services for our patients. Our professional staff will monitor and assess the patient on a constant and on-going basis, as requested by the primary caregiver or patient. Hospice staff is available on call on a 24/7 basis whenever they are needed.

Each patient and their family has a set of rights that include the right to know what is going on with their terminally ill loved one
Our masters-level medical social workers help address emotional needs and overall wellbeing of the patient and family, as well as navigating the many decisions that they face at end of life. Social workers can help facilitate difficult family discussions, find resources, advocate for the patient & family, assist with placement needs, and much more.

The hospice team creates a specialized care plan for each patient carefully considering their specific needs, desires, and medical criteria. As each patient approaches end-of-life as uniquely as he or she lives it, a holistic team of caregivers will remain vigilant to your loved one’s every need.
We make it easier for you to spend the most possible qualitative time with your loved one. We understand how important it is that their final journey be one of peace, comfort and reverence. No one wants to face the thought that their loved one might be in discomfort or pain. At Saint Iness Hospice, we know that families from different cultures have highly varied belief systems, practices and rituals around death and dying. It is important to us to understand your family dynamic and to serve your unique and specific set of needs throughout the time we share together.
The hospice philosophy accepts death as the final stage of life: it affirms life, but does not try to hasten or postpone death. Hospice care treats the person and symptoms of the disease, rather than treating the disease itself. At Saint Iness Hospice, we work together to manage symptoms so that a person’s last days may be spent with dignity and quality, surrounded by their loved ones.
A person does not have to be bedridden or in their final days of life to receive hospice care, and is most beneficial when the patient and family can receive care early to take advantage of the many benefits hospice care can offer. It can be used for months, as long as medical eligibility is met.
Hospice care is a special kind of care that focuses on the quality of life for people and their caregivers who are experiencing an advanced, life-limiting illness. Hospice care provides compassionate care for people in the last phases of incurable disease so that they may live as fully and comfortably as possible.
